ACEM ASM 2023

As emergency physicians, we perform our daily work in an extremely high-pressure environment. This is why our theme for the ASM in 2023 is ACTion Under Pressure.  Practice,  systems,  knowledge, and most of all, people are all pushed to the limit. Each day of ACTion Under Pressure will thus centre around one of these four aspects.

Drawing on expertise unique to Australia’s capital, Canberra’s ASM 2023 will focus on providing solutions to the issues we face in our frenzied lives. We will be seeking to learn from patients, elite athletes, international aid coordinators, and even military experts. We are designing a program that will inspire, provoke, and unite. We are designing a program that will change your practice. We hope it might even change your life.

For those of you who equate Canberra with politics and not much else, we have got quite the surprise in store for you. Canberra’s food and drink scene is eclectic, award winning, and dare we say it – cool. It’s the best kept secret in the country – but we’re willing to share.  We will be making use of all our incredible outdoor precincts to help you let loose, unwind, and recharge in our innovative workshops and social program.
