Terry is the Clinical Lead of CAREPACT in South Brisbane and Emergency Physician at Princess Alexandra Hospital. His background is varied and was a rural GP, Royal Australian Air Force aeromedical doctor, and then completed a palliative care diploma. He is currently sitting on the GEM Network Executive and promoting improved communications between members of the GEM and ACEM community. While passionate about caring for the older person both in ED, and in the RACF, he is motivated to improve our ability to have honest conversations with patients, families, and each other about the effectiveness of the care we provide. Through honest conversations we may be able to discuss the harms and real-world benefits of what we do – and then ultimately become better at targeting our most effective care plans to those that will benefit the most.
