Megan Cox is an Emergency Medicine Physician with 25 years of international EM experience, mostly in Sub-saharan Africa. She currently works in Sydney for NSW Health as a senior emergency physician and NSW Ambulance as a state retrieval consultant, as well as a Senior Lecturer at The University of Sydney. 

Megan was Chair of ACEM’s Global emergency care committee from 2020 to 2022 and has been involved in the GEC for  over10years.

In 2020 alongside GEC colleagues, Megan set up and led regular covid support webinars supporting EM colleagues in the Indo-Pacific region. She was successful in obtaining an IDF grant from ACEM in 2020 as well as a WHO grant to research the lessons learnt from the pandemic responses in the Pacific. This presentation summarizes the results from this research.
