Professional Bio
Jane works in the role of Educator for Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) Australia. The experience and education that Jane draws on for this role includes critical care nursing, a Postgrad Diploma in Adult Education, a diversion of 2 ½ years working in Human Resources at a tertiary hospital, and finally a Masters in Program Evaluation.
Supporting the APLS faculty of volunteer clinical educators involves listening to their learning needs, sharing relevant educational research, and creating an environment where they can authentically learn from each other (and Jane continually learns from them).
Jane brings her knowledge and experience of communication strategies and educational psychology to this workshop. The session aims to provide trainees with proactive strategies for working with their supervisors in the context of current clinical learning environments.
