Ina Schapiro
Professional Bio
Ina is a FACEM working in a peri-urban emergency department outside of Adelaide in South Australia. She has had a keen interest in mentoring since she was a trainee and has developed mentoring programs in both previous workplaces and her current one. She was also the founder of the inaugural Fellows4Fellows mentoring program in her own state which has now been replaced by the countrywide ACEM program Mentor Connect.
Ina has since her engagement in mentoring and later as a Director of Medical Training found a passion for utilising coaching methods in multiple aspects of her professional life. She has completed a Personal and Business Coaching degree and has a particular interest in coaching people working in high pressure health care areas.
This interest has most recently morphed into Ina engaging in various physician professional fulfilment activities locally, within ACEM and across other medical specialties and she is currently undertaking the Stanford Wellness Director course.
In her spare time she likes to put on her trail running shoes – or get the road bike out – to clear her head and keep enjoying her professional interests.
