Cristina Roman is the Lead Pharmacist at The Alfred Emergency and Trauma Centre with over 10 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine. She manages a team of pharmacists that provide comprehensive clinical services to the Emergency and Trauma Centre across extended hours. In addition to clinical practice, she is the current chair of the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia (SHPA) Emergency Medicine Leadership Committee. Cristina is currently completing a part time PhD with Monash University, Centre for Medication Use and Safety, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences focusing on integration of pharmacists in resuscitation including stroke, sepsis and trauma. This has led to the expansion of Emergency Medicine (EM) pharmacist roles both locally and nationally through practice-based research and interdisciplinary collaboration, with 20 publications in peer reviewed journals.
